DCPS District Athletics
Charging for Athletic Events

All middle schools have been asked to charge for all athletic events. The purpose of charging is two fold. First and foremost is to provide a controlled environment for our athletes to participate in. Aside from creating a safe environment for the participants, the ticket price also generates funds which are necessary to help pay for transportation, security, and other expenses associated with the team's expenses. Please be reminded that no district funds are provided to the schools to fund the athletic program. All funds are generated from fundraisers or gate revenue.

All adults and students should expect to purchase a ticket to attend the game, match, or meet. Parents or students who are working the event should not be charged. Examples include: coaches, timers, scorer, managers, or those working the concession stand. No child below school age should be charged.

Middle School Ticket Prices:

Football: Adults $4.00, Students $3.00
All other sports: Adults $3.00, Students $2.00

Any questions or concerns should be directed to the District Athletic Office, 858-6142
