JWJ Wins Math Counts

Math Counts is a large competition - 51 schools and more than 400 participants from all over the region.  This is the largest in Florida and quite possibly the nation, and is composed of intense, ridiculously difficult problems. Then came the awards for individuals.  How the Math Counts system works is that the top 10 individuals out of all the participants compete in a one-on-one, 3 question face-off in front of the other few hundred participants.  It is the single most stress-inducing event in all of the math competitions we attend.  Not only did we make the top ten, THREE of our students made the top ten - Sindee Lee placed 7th, Robin Zeng placed 4th, and Mark Kwak placed 3rd.  The team results then came in and JWJ was award FIRST PLACE. The team will compete in the State Competition on March 25th. Congratulations to Mr. Louisgnan and the entire Math Counts Team.
