Is the trip specific to JWJ, or will it include students from throughout the county?

-It is a trip ONLY for JWJ students. We will have private tour guides, charter busses, etc. We have been using the same tour company for the past 14 years and it is a specifically designed trip just for us. :)

The flyer lists the dates of the trip as 1/24/12 - 1/29/12 which is six days, but indicates 3 nights in the Holiday Inn. Are the remaining nights spent aboard the bus?

-The night of the 25th and 29th will be spent on the bus as it travels to and from the DC area.

As an attending parent, would I be acting as chaperone? What responsibilities would this entail? I assume I would need to submit to a new background check since my DCPS volunteer ID expired in May.

-All parents who volunteer will go on a list (first come, first serve). However, this does not lock-in your spot as a chaperone because the amount of chaperones needed will be determined by the amount of students attending.

Responsibilities would entail helping corral and account for a group of ten students as we move from one place to another (at the museums, bus loadings, etc.) Parents would also help in the mornings at the hotel during the wake-up calls and during evening lock-ups.

All chaperones would fill out the DCPS Volunteer application for clearance.

The student accommodations are listed as 4/room. What are the parent accommodations?

-The parent accomodations are double-occupancy, thus the higher price.
